One of the principal objectives of the Event Safety Alliance is to teach event organizers to create clear lines of authority and responsibility for emergency decision-making. This session will address the fact that because the fire marshal often has authority for the decision to delay, postpone, or cancel a show, ESA incorporates provisions from NFPA, FEMA, and other sources to bring fire officials fully into the decision-making loop.
