Mass evacuation and sheltering is an issue of national and international interest--a complex one with many stakeholders. Public, private, and not-for-profit organizations must cooperate to achieve effective, efficient evacuation. This session will discuss some of the challenges involved as well as the effort to develop an NFPA Standard on Planning for Mass Evacuation.
