Distilled alcohol spirits such as wines and liquors are stored in rack, palletized, and solid-pile configurations. The alcohol, a Group 3 water-miscible ignitible liquid, is commonly stored in 1.75 L (59 fl. oz.) glass bottles and placed inside corrugated cartons. This session will present the results and conclusions of a large-scale test program intended to validate current, and establish new, sprinkler protection recommendations for both palletized and rack storage of the commodity.
