This session will provide an overview of the Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service's transition from uniformed operational fire fighters to uniformed civilians in the Fire Marshal's Fire Code Compliance Section. Development of positions from concept to implementation will be detailed, including lessons learned, pitfalls, and successes. The discussion will also address creating and implementing a training plan and quality assurance program.
