Fire fighting is among the most hazardous professions in the world; the use of a fire fighting robot can greatly reduce the hazards. This session will explain how using a remote-controlled mechanism, a robot can reduce fire fighter intervention in such tasks as locating the seat of fire, discharging water onto the fire, and informing the fire ground commander of developments, minimizing the risk of burns from radiated heat, hot gases, and smoke.
