NFPA 70E®, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace®, recently has taken a special interest in protecting employees in workplaces where dc voltage sources are present. With the collaboration of the IEEE Stationary Battery Committee’s Code Working Group and the research and development community, the NFPA 70E Technical Committee has introduced rules to the standard to address these hazards. This session will lead the attendee through the subject material introduced into the 2012 edition, as well as provide a preview of what can be expected in the 2015 edition.
