The determination of occupancy use groups and commodity classifications are the first step in proper sprinkler system design. This step-by-step review and primer will assist designers and plan reviewers in Chapter 5 requirements. Secondly, you'll participate in an examination of the impact of occupancy/commodities selection as they relate to system design criteria, including the selection of sprinkler types and sprinkler spacing rules.
