This session will provide the perspective of an Authority Having Jurisdiction on current industry practices for the commissioning and integrated testing of fire and life safety systems. You will hear about the concerns of a fire code official that arose during past projects. The discussion will also include a review of the provisions of NFPA 3: Recommended Practice on Commissioning and Integrated Testing of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems, which is a new document up for adoption at this year's NFPA Technical Meeting (June 2011).
