:
There are three key issues to be considered in designing a comprehensive fire safety design concept. These three components include traditional aspects of both life safety and asset protection, plus the addition of possible future firefighting efforts. Facilitating firefighting in design is a new and innovative component and its successful implementation and actions depend on the two traditional components of life safety and asset protection and viceversa. This has a direct bearing and influence on the success of any future design. You will hear about research results, evidence, and the rating of the relative importance of all the prevention equipment and safeguards commonly used. In particular, the overwhelming significance of sprinklers to this concept will be discussed.
