The 2010 edition of NFPA 72®: The National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, is an all-encompassing signaling systems standard that has been reorganized and expanded in scope and breadth from that of previous editions. A panel of experts, composed of Technical Committee chairs and moderated by the chair of the Technical Correlating Committee, will review the new structure and content in the 2010 edition. The panel will also discuss proposals already processed by the Technical Committees as they work towards the 2013 edition. Topics include emergency communications systems, hierarchical survivability requirements, simplified circuit performance designations, voice intelligibility requirements and testing protocols, low frequency alerting signals, and other key changes.
