The Assistance to Firefighters, Fire Prevention and Safety Grants (FP&S) provide for prevention and safety projects each year. Securing funding for FP&S grants can be challenging. With more than 3,000 applications received each year, less than 250 awards are issued. Applications are reviewed through a peer review process. This session will provide prospective applicants with insight into the peer review process. You will participate in hands-on exercises to learn what panelists experience when reviewing applications with the goal of improving the applicant's ability to prepare competitive narratives.
