It?s no secret that the economic downturn in the United States has affected dental practices. Many of our patients are struggling financially, which ultimately trickles down to where discretionary income is spent?dental health! Insurance benefits continue to be reined in as a cost-cutting measure for businesses. This leads patients to believe that if it is not a covered benefit, then it is not necessary. In addition, our patients are often pain-free when they have dental disease. The price-sensitive patient struggles with the mentality "if it isn?t broke?then don?t fix it!"
