This course will review the epidemiology and diagnostic criteria for primary headache disorders including migraine and cluster headache. Attendees will review red flags for secondary headache and a framework for evaluating secondary headaches. The instructor will discuss when a primary headache might be mistaken for dental pathology and review symptomatic and preventive treatment options for primary headaches. Medication overuse will also be briefly discussed.
