Treating patients who present with one or more chronic health conditions and take multiple medications presents a challenge for dental professionals. Treatment modifications are a necessity for accommodating and rendering quality dental care to medically complex patients. This course will provide attendees with an update and overview of the most frequently prescribed FDA-approved brand name medications. Special emphasis will be given to those medications whose actions, adverse effects, interactions, and contraindications may impact dental therapy.
