The incidence of skin cancer is increasing. In the US alone, 3.5 million basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas are diagnosed annually. These tumors can be confused with benign keratoses, warts, or nevi. In this presentation we will review the differences between flesh colored benign and malignant cutaneous tumors of the head and neck and assist practitioners in identifying those lesions, which require further evaluation. The various treatment options of basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma will be discussed.
