Federal agencies are increasingly involved in the sale, lease, or transfer of historic
properties under their stewardship. This session, sponsored by the National Historic Landmarks Stewards Association and the National Park Service, will
look at proposals and plans for nationally significant sites including Fort
Monroe, Pearl Harbor, and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Federal agency staff,
nonprofit advocates, and preservation professionals give their viewpoints on the
strengths and weaknesses of the Section 106 consultation process.
